Meta Tag
A meta tag is a piece of data placed in a page's code, invisible to visitors, that tells search engines and browsers about its content.
The title, description, character encoding, or indexing instructions all run through meta tags. Each has a precise role: describe, categorize, or give a technical instruction.
Misconfigured, these tags can block indexing on an important page without anyone noticing. Regular checks prevent this kind of silent error.
