Whitespace

Whitespace is the empty space around and between page elements. It structures reading and signals quality.

Whitespace isn't empty space to fill, it's a hierarchy tool. It separates blocks, highlights a heading, lightens a dense page.

An overcrowded site tires the eye and dilutes the message. Generous use of space, by contrast, often associates a brand with a more refined, more premium image.
