NLG

Natural Language Generation

NLG is the NLP subfield that produces natural language text from structured data or a given intent.

NLG turns an input, data, a plan, a prompt, into sentences a human can read. It's the generation half of an LLM's work, as opposed to the comprehension half.

It's used to produce automatic summaries, chatbot replies, or product descriptions. A generative model can also turn a website's content into a conversational answer.
