A URL is the unique address that points to a page or resource on the web. It tells the browser where to go and what to load.
A URL is made of several parts: the protocol (https), the domain name, a path, and sometimes parameters. Every page on a site has its own URL, which makes it shareable, linkable, and indexable.
A clear URL structure helps visitors understand where they are and helps Google understand site hierarchy. Short, readable URLs convert better than a string of unreadable parameters.
