Query Fan-Out
Technique by which a generative engine breaks a question into several sub-queries sent in parallel to build a complete answer.
Rather than treating a query as one search term, the engine generates related variants and angles, queries several sources for each, then synthesizes the results into a single answer.
Content that covers a topic from several angles has better odds of being picked up by at least one of these sub-queries, which favors depth over targeting a single isolated keyword.
